Forestry
Cam-Mac Construction Ltd. has been involved in the forest industry since 1991. Cam-Mac started in the industry with excavators doing Mechanical Site Prep. Today, Cam-Mac has expanded in the forestry market place by not only being a large contractor to licencees, but also by doing many contracts through Ministry of Forests of throughout the province of BC. During an average year, we will treat well over 1000 hectares in a single season with excavators. Cam-Mac also has yearly contracts for road rehabilitation and deactivation of old logging roads and skid trails to bring the forest back to its natural state.
In 1996, Cam-Mac joint-ventured with the University of the Cariboo to create and deliver training courses for Mechanical Site Prep. Today, that training has been expanded into programs for many different kinds of heavy equipment.
